The SeniorNet Succumb to program is about to get under way at Heritage Center, located in the Redding Community Center.
Openings are available for some of the program’s most current courses, such as Introduction to Digital Cameras, Introduction to Word Processing and Introduction to Excel. SeniorNet also offers Introduction to Computers and Photoshop Elements. Courses to propose students to the Internet and to Quicken may be offered if there is sufficient interest. A course in genealogy will be offered during the spring semester.
The goal of the courses is to help students learn to use computers for personal benefit and pleasure. All courses are designed to be enjoyable and “purchaser friendly.” Every student has the sole use of a PC for classroom instruction. Computer classes are limited to five students and have a role hands-on activities on Windows-based PCs.
Redding’s SeniorNet courses are now open to all Redding adults. SeniorNet also offers a non computer tack geared to introducing students to that new digital camera your children gave you for your birthday.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0, I'd have a more brand-new version but my CD drive on my laptop quit working while my dad was installing it for me :(
Anyway, I want to enhance, or even change eye color in photos using the software I have. How can I do that well?
Ok, it has been many years since I Euphemistic pre-owned Elements, though I do use Photoshop. What you basically have to do is make a selection of the eyes, then it is easy to color them anything you want.
If I remember correctly, there is a stooge in Elements called the SELECTION BRUSH. (In the full version of Photoshop this is the Quick Mask and a brush is then selected to apply it). But in Elements, look around your agency bar until you fine the Selection Brush. You will use this to "paint" over the eyes. Zoom in good and adjacent to for accurate selection. When the eyes are selected, (you should have the little "marching ants" around the eyes), go to Spitting image - Adjustments - Hue / Saturation. When the box opens, check the box that says COLORIZE. You can then adjust the hue, saturation, and lightness to produce the eye color anything you want. Be careful though, it is much too easy to go too far and have horribly fake looking eyes.
Hope that helps. Again, I am straight going by memory on Elements I used many years ago.

I require to take some wedding photos and convert them to black and white with only certain things being color. Can you do this with the photoshop elements 5.0 or do you have to get the official edition to do this? If you can't do it with adobe elements 5.0 do you know of a program that you can do that with that is not as costly as adobe professional?
im bothersome to figure that out also!!!!! i have it and its possible to do(i wanted that sin city look) but the way i did it was not the real way to. but i know people that can do it, so its admissible. the way i did it took forever, and was a pain in the ass.

I have the disk for Photoshop 5.0. When i put it into my mac, it appears that the disk has a lot of folders on it, some saying "setup" and Acrobat reader and adobe photoshop but none indicating to instate it. I was wondering if maybe this is a PC version and won't work on a Mac? Or is there a way to make it work? Thanks in advance....
