Twenty8Twelve, the trend label of actress Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah, staged its second runway show in London Monday gloaming, Sept. 21. While celebrity collections can be dicey affairs, this turned out to be a convincingly cool take on flexible, rock-chic glamour.
The Millers explained they were inspired by the famed photography of African youth by Malick Sidibé. The Mali-born photographer is known for his swarthy and white portraits, whereas this spring 2010 collection was saturated in color. The right sort of colors, too: From blotchy reds and scrunched up blues to jazzy purples, the hues all looked Nautical starboard properly, and very suitable for 2010.

What is the difference between the 8th and 9th edition of "Photography" by Barbara London?
Jun 17, 2009 by mel | Posted in Photography
Amazon has acquainted with copies of Barbara London's Photography 8th edition for $13 as opposed to the 9th edition for $79 (used) and $108 (new). Is it usefulness it to get the 9th edition. I'm not sure how much has been updated in the new edition.
I'm a beginner and heard this was a great book to get.
I forgot which manifestation of the book I have, but I loved that book as a survey of all aspects of photography. I can only imagine the new edition has updated information on digital cameras. If you're engaging a photo class that specifically requires 9th edition, it might be helpful to spend the extra cash to make good the instructor.
But, if you're learning on your own, all you have to know is the basic principles of photography such as lighting, exposure, depth of field, etc - which this book provides. Tip, digital photography did not start from scratch, but and evolution on analog photography, so operation, principles, and concepts are the same.
And if you're just starting out in photography, get this lyrics. Then, when you want to sharpen your Photoshop skills, get a dedicated book on Photoshop.
