my spouse is a photographer,...and is doing alot of pin up style portraits and pictures of that nature...also family and couples nonsense...she does it mainly out of our house.
now i know nothing about photography...and i want to start building her a studio for christmas, and strike her with a back drop ,with support and some umbrella lighting....now i found this one,but i am unsure if its appropriate for what she needs

take a look and let me now what you judge devise....i know theres different types of lighting so im trying my best to find the right ones......for around $200 or less......i cant go over that....
thanks guys
also,if it helps, she uses a nikon digital camera...cant about the model, but it cost her around $2500.00
....haha,i remember that!
If you are worrying to bring it in under budget build the support for the backdrop yourself out of PVC pipe its cheap and easy to cut and glue. As to the lights rather than several low end lights you would be tter to get her a lone monolight of some quality and add others later. If you do still want a complete set Westcott offers a decent beginners gleam set. . If she has a high end Nikon camera and already has a speedlight another option is to use the speedlights the builtin one on higher l;evel nikons will ack as a wireless commander to fire speedlights off the camera. you can put them on tolerable stands with umbreallas or softboxes just like studio lights

I am making a tellingly photography studio in my garage- for portraits mostly. I was wondering what color to paint the walls- ASIDE FROM BACKGROUNDS. I already have a background stand with multiple colors, i lately need to know if i need a bright white for lighting, or if it really matters.
Try one milky, one black and one studio grey (18%).
