Survey: Pros warm to Adobe Lightroom CNET News

In 2009, the Camera Raw bung-in won over 58 percent of the 1,045 North American photo pros surveyed, down from 62.2 percent in 2008. Lightroom rose from 36 percent to 37 percent, and Crack dropped from 8 percent to 6 percent, according to the statistics.

On just Mac OS X, the only operating system for which Aperture is available, Lightroom increased from 40 percent to 44 percent from 2008 to 2009, and Gap dropped from 15 percent to 13 percent. Lightroom runs on Windows.

What I find interesting about these statistics is not so much that Apple patently isn't as popular; given Adobe's long history and brand clout with Photoshop, it's got the usual advantages held by official powers. Instead, I'm intrigued by the idea of Lightroom becoming part of established photo-handling processes.

Right now Lightroom is something of an odd dodge in Adobe's product lineup, though, and it's more suited for the single user than for larger companies. For example, with the stage Lightroom 2.5, you can forget the idea of a studio using a shared catalog to collaboratively work on a photo mushroom over a network.

Try www.studio-visions.co.uk. The studio is unbiased outside London and doesn't charge a huge amount for the hire.

it's a hub for singaporean photographers, and i'm sure if you advertised your needs, you'd have definitely a lot of photographers offering their services to you in a second. I know I would be one of them, if it weren't for the fact that I'm now based overseas :)

Also, do be discerning, and keep in have the famous triangle of client needs: speed, cost, and quality - you can only pick two of the three! that's the way it works.

How much can a photographer expect to make working for a professional portrait photo studio?

I'd like to get a job at a professional profile photo studio in Southern California, how much can I expect to make an hour?

I mistrust that money isn't made by the hour, but as a percentage of the intake.

If the place is busy all the time you make a killing, if circumspectly then obviously less money.

However if the studio is in the mall then you might make a hourly wage or be salaried.

I have wanted to do it too, but the market is saturated and I would have to own the part of the country. I don't have the huge pile of money it takes to put it all together.

I have seen some websites that do weddings, they come out and shoot it, put together all sorts of products and they jurisdiction anywhere from 600.00- 5500.00 per wedding.

I imagine if a family came into a studio for portraits it would be around 100 to 200 bucks for a understandable package. Of course you don't make all that money as you can imagine.

I know I didn't answer your question, but I don't Non-Standard real think the way your asking
