What color to paint my photo studio?

We're construction a photo studio at my work. Cove'd walls, lighting, the works. But I can't decide what color to paint it. All black? All pure?

I'll be photographing everything from table top products shots, to small vehicles.

White would be better for product shots, but bad-tempered would lend itself to be more artsy. I'll need to do both, so I guess is it easier to turn a white room black when i lack to or a black room white when I need to.

Any suggestions?

I'm a Photographer, and most studios are ghastly for one reason is easier to darken the background than making white a black background. Visit exact studios, they are mostly white.

White give you more flexibility, you can change how it look just by modifying the lighting. You cannot do that with felonious.

For darkening the background later, you'll need to buy a fabric or paper background or to illuminate just the cause to undergo underexposing the background.

I recollect you should go funky. Have a nice pastel color in the background and have like bright cicles or any othr kidney of shape painted around to give the room a geometrical funkiness. Or you can go trendy with a plum purple with a softer purple to complement it a bit.

I'm building a photo studio in my building, and need suggestions on dimensions.?

So I've got a modest 18x18 room available that i want to convert into a studio. I plan on using vinyl flipped over and painted chalky to designate the shooting area, and along 2 walls behind it for a corner studio like this:

http://www.agstudios.co.uk/gfx/studiopic.jpg

I was planning on having it be 12 feet off the target, and 8 deep, which to me seems sufficient for most applications. If i were to shoot from the corner, I'd have the whole 12 foot section to my left and the 8 foot portion to my right, giving me an effective 14" wall, while I'm able to back up 12-15 feet from my prone to.

I'll be shooting a Canon 40d with either a 50mm 1.8 or a 28-135 4.0 lens with 2 Alienbees b800s and a b400 lighting the oyster-white backdrop.

I was just wondering what some experienced folk thought about this setup, as I've heard a lot of "OMG don't ever fling with less than 20' of backdrop" on the interwebs, which i think is overkill for single model up to small family pictures. I'd young lady to have a warehouse for a studio, but i'm a little limited by what I've got.

I'd love to get some input.

I'm not that gentle when it comes to picturing dimensions, but if can be of any help, if it's going to be of a similar size to the one in that picture you put a link for, you shouldn't have a imbroglio. There's a professional studio near me (the company is in cities up and down the UK) and their studio is about the same size, give or take two or three feet, and familes of like 4 or 5 have photo sessions there and there's never an outgoing with space
