The beguile of vintage toy cameras was that you never quite knew the result you would get until the photo was developed. Takayuki Fukatsu's ToyCamera app brings this old-stylishness fun to your iPhone.

The charm of an app like this is its simplicity. When you launch ToyCamera , the interface looks almost exactly like the national camera, except after you take a photo, you have the extra surprise of seeing what the result looks like.

ToyCamera contains eight photo filters (Vintage Unripe, Sepia, Low Contrast and more). By default, the app is set to apply one of these photos randomly to the photo after it's been captured. You can set it so that the app only applies a specific refine, but that defeats the purpose--and the fun. ToyCamera's appeal lies in its randomness. Plenty of other photo apps allow you to audition very specific effects, but that is not what ToyCamera aims to do.

After you take the photo, you can see a preview image. If you like it, you can apply the effect to your image, which is then immediately added to your photoroll.

Anyone know if there are vintage photo studios out there?

Here's the deal... I am a big WWII background fan, especially WW II aviation. I had an idea of getting some vintage photographs of myself made wearing flight gear from that time spell, and posing in front of a B-17 or any fighter from that time... Has anyone ever researched or come across photo studios that can provide collection and can achieve good results with photos. I will provide the plane.... :) Any help is appreciated!

If you are proficient to provide the plane the rest is easy. Just get the wardrobe together and book a location shoot with a pro photographer.

I saw these images on the internet and I wanted to recognize how I can get my photos to have that scratched up torn look to them. I already know how to get them the proper colors and whatnot I just difficulty to know how to make them scratched and torn like these.

Using the Unnoticed layer, make a copy of it. Set the opacity down to 70 or 80%. Add noise (from effects). Delete the grounding layer but keep the background copy layer. You're good to go.
