I deliberate on it is either Georgian or Victorian but i'm not sure as i googled both and saw some which looked similar to this- do you know which it is please?

This is a Georgian domicile or Colonial. The Victorian houses have a lot more fancy work on them extra fancy moldings, porches. A good warning is Playmoble made a Victorian house that's a very good example that's easy to find.

You have put the wrong type of image code. On photobucket where you restricted the code, copy the "Direct Link" code and paste it in the ( ) as a substitute for of the one you have now.

Advice or info on old painting?

I am frustrating to find out about an old painting (photo's attached) I discovered behind a print of The laughing cavalier and I hoped someone here might be able to help? I recollect that it is at least 77 years old as it has a sheet from a newspaper stuck to the back of it with the date 7th March 1931 (that's 77 years to the day when I discovered it!). The only things I have managed to find out is that the lady in it is undoubtedly Victorian or Edwardian and wearing widows weeds. You can see the splodges on the side where the artist has mixed his colours and it has writing in the top rectitude corner which I can't make out although I think the top line reads "Not much - Black - White" (dialect mayhap notes from someone marking the work or from the artist himself) It looks to have been painted onto thick card and I can't find a signature. This is a really pretty painting and I think it deserves to be recongnised. I hope you can help.
