Breaking away from the slideshow show

Paper- and print-based presentations remain a significant part of the presentation of architectural drudgery. Printed boards have the obvious advantages of not requiring power, equipment or the control of ambient lighting. However, as the appurtenances to do screen-based presentations has become cheaper, brighter and more portable, the rise of the screen-based donation has followed.

Microsoft’s PowerPoint is the ubiquitous business presentation software. Based on a linear advance through a succession of “slides”, the concept is closely based on what previously could be achieved with a preloaded 35mm slink carousel. PowerPoint, however, adds the potential of animation to slides, as well as a bewildering choice of transitions between slides and the ability to add in good condition and movie media. The software is simple to use and can quickly build presentations combining text and figurativeness.

The problems you may encounter are that very large image-based PowerPoint presentations can be prone to crash and become corrupted while being worked on. In ordinary with all computer-based presentations, fine line drawings do not work well as you are always limited by the resolution of your screen or projector. The bigger hornet's nest, however, can be that your individual design message can almost be lost in the overly familiar look and feel of a PowerPoint giving.

How do I transfer 35mm slides to digital?

Does anyone discern what the easiest way is to transfer all my 35mm slides to digital form? Or, if there is a machine available that would turn 35mm slide pictures into digital? I don't yearning to send them out, I want to transfer them myself.......

Several options, first to worse quality:

Send them out to be professionally scanned. Expensive. Huge files.

Buy a slide/blur scanner. High investment cost. Lots of work, scanning and cleaning up the scans.

Use a DSLR to photograph the fall forget/film. High investment cost. Lots of work. Generally similar quality to slither/film scanner.

Send them out to be scanned -- lower quality. Less expensive, smaller files.

Use a flatbed scanner. Cheaper investment outlay. Lower quality than dedicated film/slide scanner. Less cleanup of scanned images.

B&H and or Adorama will have scanners put purloin sure they can scan slides as well as negatives.

I tell you what when I look at a Velvia 50 slide on my light box I stupefaction why I bought a DSLR and well money is the only reason hahahahah

Which is the best option to transfer 35mm slides to my computer?

I require about 1250 35mm slides scanned by Feb 6th. Is it possible to use an online site or actually a buy a printer and do it feasibly yourself within a week and a half? Also what is the surpass website to send the film to/cheapest if scanning yourself isn't reasonable? Thanks!

One way to do it is to use a steal duplicator and a digital camera as shown in this article.

The main advantage is that it is a reasonably quick way to get through a large number of slides.

Where in Toronto can I get non-35mm slides transferred to disc?

Remembrance time! Walmart and a few other places will tranfer only 35mm slides to disc but many of mine have a square celluloid area as opposed to the rectangular 35mm fornat. Any suggestions where I can get these non-35mm slides transferred to disc? (Scurvy's will do it but they're expensive....) Thanks!

I'm presuming that the slides you are referring to are of the same exotic surrounding frame dimensions as standard 35mm slides. If so just process them the same as if they were 35mm slides. The "celluloid" space makes little or no difference for processing but has a small slightly noticeable difference when viewed on a tv small screen.
I have had a lot of half frame slides photographed by my father from the 50's processed to disc with no problems.
