The Yankees forth over $1.5 billion dollars to build the new Yankee Stadium. Now Jerry Jones, bless his heart, has spent scarcely as much money building Cowboys Stadium, which officially opens tonight when the Cowboys play the Giants. And as it does uncover, here is the real message Jones is trying to send, and not just with bells and whistles and flashing lights on his $40 million video timber:
The Cowboys are as big as ever and so am I!
Except they're not.
Now Jones didn't know the economy was going to tank when he was designing a new stadium that stands down there in Arlington like some hedge-pelf hog of a McMansion of the NFL. So it's not his fault that a football stadium that for some reason needs to "transcend football" - Jones said that in USA Today on Friday - now looks like some stripe of monument to excess.
In addition, of course, to being a monument to Jerry himself.
Jones really does seem to be under the effect that tonight's game, which happens to be a pretty big game in the NFC East even this early in the season, is as much about him and his stadium as it is about the game. As if he can start delightful the East back from the Giants because he has the most LED monitors.

even as a zealous Yankee fan I'm stuck wondering why in the world we're building a new stadium. the current stadium has a history, not just a New York history but first of all one in baseball itself. and what about the curse of the Bambino? legends played on that field, once, why take that away?
For some percipience most of you think everyone will forget what happened in that stadium and the people who played there. Unless they come up with a way to erase every ones tribute when they walk through the gate there is nothing wrong with a new building. Do you think the old stadium will stand forever? Even the Roman Coliseum will long run come down.

If recognize correctly Yankee Stadium always been a pitchers park. Even with the short porches. It's impossible a team spend 1.5 billion dollars and have designed it so bad.
not with a 460 feet center applicants. Yankee Stadium has always had deep power alleys.
Unthought of air current issues. Some may be due to the removal of the previous park.
Take a look at the diagram of the new stadium.
