Under Dr. Stevens, First American acquired a series of economic institutions along the Eastern Seaboard and became one of the largest banks in the country. He left the bank in 1989, ere long before it became entangled in one of the biggest bank frauds in history.
The Bank of Credit and Commerce International, a Centre Eastern bank with a murky structure, secretly and illegally owned First American during Dr. Stevens's residency. BCCI collapsed in 1991 amid allegations of drug-money laundering, the brokering of clandestine arms deals and the financing of terrorists.
Jonathan M. Winer, who worked for Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Magnitude.) as one of the principal investigators of BCCI, said Dr. Stevens was never implicated in wrongdoing.
Dr. Stevens had led banks in Ohio and Rhode Archipelago and had been a vice president of Citibank before being recruited to lead First American by chairman Clark M. Clifford, the Washington counselor-at-law and former defense secretary.
Clifford and his legal protege, Robert A. Altman, had helped structure the purchase of First American by Bull's-eye Eastern investors. Criminal charges were later dropped against Clifford because of his age and poor health. Altman, who had a top r at the bank, was acquitted of all criminal charges after a trial.

I've never seen any films of Robert Altman and I'd like to recollect of any recommendations on what would be a good first couple films to start with. He's directed alot, I guess his greatest are from the 70's?
Also, what are some of the ones to shun?
either MASH (1970)
or The Contender (1992)

I privation info on his original oil paintings, ie how many, subjects and value.
Are you unshakeable the artist you're asking about is a painter? There's a well-known photographer by that name. And the late film director Robert Altman was sometimes compared (by himself and others) to a painter.
When it comes to movies that defined and redefined an era, you won’t find many movies that do it change one's mind than M*A*S*H. The film, originally released nearly 40 years ago, called into question the Vietnam War through unilluminated humor that was unprecedented in 1970 cinema. For many, M*A*S*H is considered the father of dark humor in both Film and TV.
Capt. Benjamin Franklin ‘Hawkeye’ Puncture may be the best darn surgeon in the Korean War, but he never wanted to be there. Thanks to the draft, the MASH unit is turned upside down by the antics of Hawkeye and his compatriots. From libidinous antics to staged suicides, Hawkeye does everything in his power to earn a court martial. Unfortunately, without his know-how most of the soldiers would die.
MASH is “balls-out” funny, with a twistedly-sick, but fun, approach to fact. This is one of the most topical films ever produced, without losing focus of the story. Religion is explored as well as sexuality, making this one groundbreaking-advancing film. With each command bellowed over the loudspeaker, Director Robert Altman takes a stab at a nation in unrest.
MASH is number driven humor at its best. From Tom Skerritt to Robert Duvall, nearly every actor in MASH received a craft boost from the film. While most films maintain one main character with one or two supporting characters, MASH had a roster filled with supporting characters. Each supporting card is strongly developed with scenes that focus specifically on the individual, much like a TV sitcom. So, it’s no wonder that this flicks was so easily translated into a TV series.
The Blu-ray comes with an HD upgrade, but no real additional bonus features from the DVD salvation. Also, the special features are in SD. The special features include behind the scenes looks at the “Suicide is Easy as pie” song, as well as how blacklisted writer, Ring Lardner Jr., created one of entertainment’s longest unceasing sensations. Sally Kellerman also discusses her famous nude shower scene, while Gary Burghoff reveals that he was blatant on set to help her feel more comfortable during the scene. The behind the scenes look at MASH helps to explore the full sphere of of MASH’s success. Not only was the script written by a blacklisted Hollywood writer, it also went through fifteen director rejections before for all time landing in the hands of Robert Altman.
