Airman's bracelet lost in World War II returned The Associated Press

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Jack Harold Glenn was a World War II bomber helmsman who was killed during a firefight as he flew a mission over Germany in 1944, his body coming to rest in a American football gridiron in a rural village.

The silver bracelet Glenn was wearing was given to a 16-year-old boy who helped pay for his body. He held onto the bracelet ever since, a remembrance of the fallen American airman.

Sixty-five years later, the bracelet is returning to Glenn's sister in Alaska thanks to an ambitious World War II veteran who uncovered the relic on a recent trip to the German village.

Helen Glenn Manager of Anchorage says she will receive her brother's bracelet in a week or so and plans to send it to a museum in Matagorda County, Texas, where Glenn grew up.

"Anything that's gone to the museum may uplift or make people grateful or add to history," Helen Glenn Foreman said Wednesday. "I create we're all better people if we know and appreciate history."

Foreman heard of the bracelet for the first time last week from kindred and friends of 90-year-old Bernerd Harding, a New Hampshire man who traveled this month to Klein Quenstedt, Germany, a village southwest of Berlin, on a pursuit to find his pilot's wings.

Iran ain't gonna touch "hair one" on Israel, 'originator Israel has nukes far superior to any that Iran MIGHT have, and Israel's delivery systems are so much more advanced as to make the juxtaposing laughable. Their conventional arsenal is way superior to anyone else's in the region as well; their fighter pilots are considered to be some of the best tranined & well-tempered on Earth. No, we needn't get "all stirred up" about the latest & greatest "Middle East B.S."

Rather, we insufficiency to focus on the UN to make sure that a resolution banning all "theocracies" from the planet is passed and enforced! Or is Bush's war on terror an irrelevant war (like drugs and poverty) ultimately intended to fly a few corporations a lot of money?

I know this, every time someone questions the validity of Bush's war on terror, the neocons get their panties in a dog-leg.

So what constitutes a world war nowadays?

That will be fixed by Congress, when they pass the first Declaration of War since 1941. Technically, Bush's War on Terror with the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq are not 'wars,' they are military engagements.

World War 3 is obligated to happen someday. It may not happen during my lifetime, but if history is any accurate guide, it will happen. I know a lot of folks will say the Central East. But I am thinking big problems could happen in Africa. Even bigger problems than that continent is already having (widespread sustenance shortages and poverty, widespread disease, and large amounts of violence).

i dont of it will happen and i hope it doesnt if it does we are all f**ed in the @$$ because the technology now days can blow up the earth in 1 damn
