Some gadgets even-handed hit the "awesome" button in the deep, lizard part of your brain. At an Nvidia meeting Friday, my "awesome" button got smacked carefully by the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1, the world's first point-and-shoot, consumer 3D digital camera. It's expensive, somewhat ungainly, and probably impractical. But it's really cool.
The W1 is a bit of a brick, sure, but who cares? It's 3D! The camera is black and glossy, and looks a tiny like a Sony Cybershot T-series with its big, slide-down shutter cover. It's much thicker than a Sony T-series (but still easily handheld) and it has - woah now - two lenses on the front. It uses those lenses to take two images, which it merges together into a 3D conceive of.
The W1 takes both photos and videos in 2D and 3D mode. I took a bunch of 3D photos and recorded a 3D video. The 3D photos get through in .MPO format, a new multiple-image format supported by Nvidia's 3D Vision kit ($199), and include a set of drivers and glasses, which diverge a start up any monitor into a 3D device. The 3D videos are a pair of streams stored in a standard AVI container; the Nvidia 3D Envisaging's software player knows how to merge them into a 3D movie.

i've heard canon stigmatize is better than sony, but since i already have the battery, charger and memory card i was thinking about getting another sony..
so do i buy a Sony camera or go for a Canon?????
what's your advice?
Harsh choice, but think the Canon below would really be the best.
Just saw this camera at Best Buy and think it is a great camera and a most suitable buy. It has an optical viewfinder and uses NiMH rechargeable batteries. Please read as much of the following as you can for other information and lend a hand with choosing a camera.
Canon A590IS $134.99 at Best Buy or $116.30 at Amazon.com

Camera reports batteries low, but is it low suffuse or bad electrical contacts? Overcharging can ruin good batteries! The secret to making digital cameras line better is having good electrical contacts between batteries and camera.
Digital cameras require lots of power. Bad electrical contacts can agency lots of problems so battery and camera contacts must be cleaned properly. Batteries may be fully charged, but will be viewed as low if contacts are not as a matter of fact good. The LCD screen is a low steady load, but when lens extension, optical zoom, focus, and shine charging are added in the capture mode; the load is very heavy. Bad contacts make cameras do fantastic things like making bad pictures or shutting off with the lens out.
CAUTION Do not overcharge! Batteries can be punitively damaged. Use an automatic two or more hour Energizer Compact smart charger with safety timer, temperature proctor, and trickle charge technology ($9.76) at Walmart. For longer life, use Duracell 2000mAh batteries and a full series charge monthly. To preserve battery charge, use the view finder and not the LCD screen when possible.
There are so many cameras out there it is sensitive to say which is best, but digital is definitely the way to go. The second source link will be very helpful as it list most of the cameras out there with prices.
What gives a camera its spit quality? The following information should help you know what to look for in a camera.
The short answer is that it is mostly the skill of the photographer that produces excited quality pictures. The lens and camera are very important, but the ability to set the scene, adjust the cameras settings, and control the camera very still or use a tripod with auto or remote shutter actuation when required is what gets the great pictures.
Many of the new cameras appear with only an LCD screen. Would suggest that you find one that also has an optical view finder because the LCD screen is almost impossible to see in bright sun.
Higher mega pixels may not undeniably be the best thing to look for. It is more expensive, takes longer to process, and may not be needed unless you are making a in the end large picture or blowing up a small part of a picture. Maximum print size for a 3 mega pixel stage set is 8 x 10 inches.

The information about my camera is just to show that you don't need the biggest and best. At best know how to use the one you have.
My camera has 5.2 mega pixel, but I use 3 most of the time because it gives great results, is faster, and takes less homage. Also, it only has a 3 x optical zoom and 7x digital zoom. I never use the digital zoom because making pictures larger works better on the computer. This is an old camera, but everyone is impressed with the attribute pictures it takes ... like magic.
Check with the Geeks in several stores and compare prices. Ask what cameras they own, but don't have the courage of one's convictions pretend everything you hear. Once you select a camera read all about it in the owner's manual. Just learned that my camera has red-eye prevention and correction. It also has adaptive lighting. You may be qualified to view the owners manual at this link, but will need to Login. http://www.retrevo.com/s/di

I have a Sony digital camcorder that shoots to digital video and to Sony's memory stick. So the next camera I buy is going to be in the Sony family. Now which one is the very best for the dollar? thanks, Jim
Sony CyberShot digital camera DSC-R1 The first and key difference R1 from previous Cybershot models and from other compact cameras is its 10-megapixels CMOS-matrix, by the sizes only a hardly yielding such in digital «mirrors». However much construction of camera does not foresee a mirror - the mode of the permanent reading of perception from the matrix of Live preview is used, and for his vise an electronic view-finder and LC-display are Euphemistic pre-owned.

Hi
Might seem an unconcealed question, but .... I have just bought a new Sony digital camera to replace my Old Kodak one. Can I keep the Kodak software on my laptop and add the Sony software as well?
I don't hanker after to lose all my Kodak photo's.
Thank You
If you like the Kodak Easyshare software keep it and use it. You will not have to even anxiety the Sony software, unless you are curious about some of its features.
Changing software has nothing to do with your image files. They are safe until you either erase them or accidentally overwrite your original image files after you make changes.
