The Canon PowerShot SX20 IS has a 12.1Mp lens and uses the DiGIC4 replica processor, which is also used in Canon's high-end digital camera products. In our tests it produced excellent image quality across a to one side variety of photography environments, from bright to dimly lit, and it also managed to capture great detail in macro and fully zoomed shots.

The most noted feature of the Canon PowerShot SX20 IS is its 20x zoom lens, which has a wide angle of 28mm and can zoom-in to 560mm. It really lets you get put up the shutters seal to your subject, and because the camera has built-in optical image stabilisation, you can take handheld photos at 20x zoom without getting a blurry archetype. Of course this will depend on the amount of light you have at your disposal, as dim lighting and maximum zoom will still result in some blurriness unless a tripod is toughened.

When you switch on the Canon PowerShot SX20 IS for the first time and the lens pops out, you notice the focal length written on the barrel of the lens. This can be fruitful for getting to a predetermined zoom point if you know the focal length that you want to use.

How do I upgrade the lens of my canon powershot digital camera?

I have a canon digital camera with a 4x optical zoom. what philanthropic of lens do i look for to upgrade to higher zoom? I am pretty camera dumb but am getting into pics so hankering a camera that wont get blurry upon getting far a way pics.
I found telephoto lenses that are 3x does that mean that my new zoom would be 7x since I already have a 4x or does it substitute for what the camera already has? This is where I am getting confused.

Most cheaper non-DSLR cameras will not sanction you to upgrade: the most you could hope to do is get an adapter piece and a telephoto mount for it.

This only works if you actually spent wholesome money on that camera, though since most don't afford it. Plus, telephotos are not worth the money if the zoom is that low, so you should just get a new camera in my opinion.

Alter: A telephoto will compound with your camera's optical zoom, so 4x3 = 12x zoom.

I should warn that most telephotos tend to prepare it more difficult to hold your camera in a balanced way and usually require their own stands if you want a clean shot.

Canon Digital Camera PowerShot A70 can show menus without any mess but cant shoot any video or pictures. The LCD it self can not show pictures on it, please help.

I harmonize that this sounds like a problem with the CCD. This problem was acknowledged by Canon a couple of years ago. The other answer discussing this provided a component to Canon Europe. In case you are in the US, I will provide a link to the US site for getting your camera repaired.

The A70 is an excellent camera for its specs and has sport image quality than my father's 6-month-old Kodak. Fortunately I have not had any problems with my A70.
