Your images will have a yellow orange colour to them. This can be corrected during printing if you go to a lab or photo store that color corrects the images. It can also be corrected on camera by either switching the milky balance (for digital) or using an 80A filter (for film).

Need help with painting studio lighting - daylight balance without glare?

I am context up a home paint studio. The room already has a light fixture - a ceiling fan that I would like to keep. I replaced the resistant to bulbs with daylight-spectrum (6500 k) compact fluorescent bulbs to have more balanced light in the room.

But I am having a pretty pickle with glare on the canvas. I do oil painting. The ceiling fan has open light covers (not globes). I looked for replacement alight covers but the ones on this fixture seem to be a non-standard size (neck size 3 and 1/4 inches).

Now I am looking for a pithy fluorescent bulb in daylight temperature (6500 k) that is frosted or covered. I can't find one however. Please post a link if you know of a facts one that can be purchased from a reputable on-line store or national chain.

What is 'White Balance' in a camera? How to use it optimally? 'Auto, Daylight, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Horizon'

In my flexible phone's camera, there is 'White Balance' settings. And there are five settings which one can use. These five settings are: Auto, Daylight, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Limits.

So what is correct method of using these settings so that best photo/video quality is obtained? I use Nokia 6233 which has a 2megapixel camera. I have 1GB respect card inserted in my mobile phone for shooting/recording.

Please help.

Stage set the white balance in your camera is telling it what is actually "white" because there are different tempertures of starlight... ex. Daylight is very blue and the temperture is very high, so if you have it set for tungsten white balance (which is a lower light temperture and more orange), then the color of your photo will be off. I would try to reinforcement away from auto white balance and use Daylight when you re outside, tungsten when you are inside with manmade lights, and fluorescents (which are very unripe when not balanced) when you are around them.
if your phone lets you, then set the white balance yourself by filling your entire frame with a white wall or an 18% gray visiting-card that you can find in photo stores.
