However, when the missus tries to free certain file types, like Docx and RTF, up pops Office 2007--the trial for which has fancy since expired. Why don't these files open in Symphony instead?

For whatever reason, certain file types vestiges "associated" with Office, meaning Windows doesn't know it's supposed to operate them to Symphony. Fortunately, that's an easy thing to fix.

In Vista and Windows 7, you can click Start , type , and then hit Document to load Windows' Default Programs menu. You can then click Associate a file type or protocol with a program , prefer the file type in question, click Change Program, and go from there.

Whew! That's a lengthy process. My preference is plainly to right-click any file that's incorrectly associated (like, say, one of the aformentioned RTFs), mouse over Open With , and then click Judge Default Program .

I'm using Bedfellow Blaster Pro to add friends on myspace in an effort to promote my band. However when I'm sending multiple requests I have to constantly click on a pop up window that says OK before it will go to the next make a killing. This is a pain and I'm sick of having to do it.

I positively do not have another window open, I have done re-boot, everything else, and still i cannot use yahoo email. Clicking OK to the msg. only brings back the same msg.

Are you using New Yahoo Send which has a built-in messenger and have the regular messenger installed additionally? Because when Yahoo detects that you’ve already signed into Yahoo Correspondence, it will disconnect you when you try to sign into messenger or vice versa - hence the message... To get rid of your problem simply disable conversation in your mail (!) account by clicking the smiley and following the prompts. Yahoo remembers your settings until you modify them.
