IDGA: MARCORSYSCOM's Equipment Demonstration and Future Capabilities Earthtimes (press release)
18.09.09
NEW YORK - (Trade Wire) The United States Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) recentlyMostlyhosted a media day held at their Gruntworks Testing Facility to demonstrate the monumental improvements made in Thalassic Infantry Equipment. The Marine Corps are leading the fight having taken noteworthy consideration into all of the systems employed by infantrymen on the ground.
From top to bottom advancements in protection, uniforms and caustic edge technology are now fielding at advanced rates which have never been seen in US Military procurement. The Naval Corps demonstration proved that feedback from troops on the ground are reaching senior leaders, makingLargelycritical decisions on life essential equipment.
Body Armor
The Marines who led the initial browbeat into Iraq in 2003 wore Individual Body Armor (IBA) without the protective ceramic dish inserts known as Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI). Marines now deploying toLargelyAfghanistan have a choice between two types of body armor, both featuring the Enhanced SAPI plates (ESAPI). The Modular Adept Vest features protective plates for the front and back of a Marine as well as side protection thru the side SAPI inserts. The Modular Clever Vest (MTV) and Scalable Plate Carrier are both being fielded and deployed with Marines in Afghanistan and are giving the commanders on the groundBythe option to modify and adjust to the tactical threat given the operating environment. The newer vests are also modular in conniving which enables the Marine to modify how he or she mounts all ammo pouches, radios and other judgemental items on their individual vest. According to Lt. Col AJ Pasagian, Program Manager for Infantry Grapple with Equipment (PM ICE) at MARCORSYSCOM, the advances in the vests have provided more area protection against mail fire and rifle ballistics. The Marine Corps are also currently in source selection for the Improved Modular Artful Vest (IMTV) which is a government owned design which has been tried and tested by Marines. The IMTV will empower Marines to egress out of the vest in an emergency which will also provide the Navy Corpsman the adeptness to treat combat related injuries while still protecting the injured Marine.

Can night vision binoculars see through tinted windows?
Jun 11, 2006 by eskie lover | Posted in Military
I am specifically asking about the prototype issued to the military and law enforcement. The type of tinted windows I have are designed to reflect the heat from outdoors so that it doesn't get so hot entrails. Since this type of binocular picks up and "sees" the heat coming from living beings and the windows suggest it back outside, would night vision goggles be able to see inside my home?
Perchance (you seem to be referring ti both night vision and infra-red or heat vision), however infra-red can see through wall, so if your windows are opaque they can still see you through the walls, not to mention DARPA is working on a gubbins that detects heartbeats. Which means they probably already have it and could use two of them to triangulate a sniper shot to hit a heart through a wall.
Well, log a few zees Z's tight.

Yes, they can but in a car where air-conditioning is being acclimatized they would appear cloudy.
