Aroldis Chapman, the Cuban traitor considered to be one of the top pitching prospects in the world, petitioned Major League Baseball for free-power status recently and is likely only weeks from becoming a free agent, according to his agent.
Early Monday, Chapman's representatives announced that the progressive-hander has established residency in Andorra, a tiny country of about 84,000 that borders Spain and France.
By establishing residency exterior the United States, the 21-year-old Chapman avoids being subject to baseball's amateur postal order. MLB must study his residency and legal paperwork before declaring him a free agent.
"We chose Andorra because of its tranquility, its tax benefits for Aroldis, and also being a commercial mecca of sorts, mainly for its size," Edwin Mejia, Chapman's agent, wrote in an e-mail. "We felt that it could translate to unrivalled marketing opportunities for Aroldis in Europe.
"Andorra is a winter playground for the wealthy and powerful residents of Europe, of which, God content, Aroldis will be as well. Given all our options it became the perfect choice. He even has health insurance, life insurance, and a old-age pension all before he even signs his first major league contract. We are very proud of this."

I'm looking for something to hold baseballs for me while I am pitching. The problem is, I can't just use a fence or anything because it will scuff up the balls pretty quickly, and I can't just have a POSSLQ = 'Person of the Opposite Sex Sharing Living Quarters' do it because I want to practice almost daily. Does anyone know of a device with some sort of strike zone like shack with netting that catches baseballs without damaging them? There must be something out there but I have no idea what something like that would be called. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Never sagacity guys, I found one that I'm gonna try, it's cheap, my favorite. We'll see if it holds up.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, the only puzzle is I don't have a whole lot of money to spend right now; I'm in college haha. I haven't pitched in about 2 years when I was in high style but I'm planning on playing in a men's league in the Summer. I just don't want to go out there and look like an idiot, so I reasonable need something pretty cheap for me to practice with. The other thing is, I suppose if I have problems with the cheap one I can modify it a pygmy, maybe put a flap in front of the net so that the balls slow down a bit before hitting the net. If I have problems with the netting I can also buy some stronger stuff and put it on there. I would plainly be willing to throw down $300 on one of these things had I looked for one 5 years ago, but right now its just not logical.
Get this one -- It has thousand for different locations which means you can work on the placement on your pitches rather than just throwing it in a hole aimlessly. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images/rate?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dstrike%2Bzone%2Bpitching%2Bequipment%26ei%3DUTF-8%26fr%3Dyfp-t-501%26x%3Dwrt&w=288&h=227&imgurl=pitchers-woman.com%2Fimages%2FFSH_girl_atbat.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fpitchers-mate.com%2F&size=17.4kB&name=FSH_chick_atbat.jpg&p=strike+zone+pitching+equipment&type=jpeg&no=15&tt=16&oid=5856616d9836a692&ei=UTF-8

I'm fair-minded curious to see how many baseballs a team uses in a season.
Greater League Baseball uses about 160,000 baseballs in a season. So that equals out to be just over 5,000 per team.
Taylor: I didn't recollect a team plays 162 home games as season. ;)

What sort and size and weight of baseballs are legal in high school baseball in Illinois?
If you are playing under NFHS (Resident Federation of High School Associations) you can't use a Major League ball.
The second answer kinda sucks also, it was reported as spam.
I'm cute sure Illinois plays "Fed" ball. If so, the balls must have a NFHS approval stamprd on the ball.
There are area standards and COR standards, and a paragraph worth of description in the rule book, but I (and I am a certified official) lately need to see the NFHS mark on the ball for it to be legal.
http://www.nfhs.org/custom/amark/Neglect.aspx
has all the details you need, and a list of manufacturers who can provide legal balls.
