Condos to be auctioned at steep discounts Seattle Post Intelligencer
A progress company said Friday it will auction condos at properties in two Seattle neighborhoods at up to 65 percent discounts from above-mentioned prices.
On Sept. 27, Schnitzer West will try to sell a selection of condominiums at Gallery , in Belltown, and Brix , at the north end of Broadway, on Capitol Hill.
"We've analyzed the going round Northwest residential real estate landscape with respect to new construction condominium supply and need, and believe the marketing strategy of presenting these two new developments for sale through an auction process is the best method to efficiently put across a large number of homes in a short amount of time," Dan Ivanoff, managing partner of Schnitzer West, said in a declaration.
The statement said the auctions "are not intended to 'liquidate' the remaining inventory, but rather will establish market pricing for the projects."
Several other buildings have auctioned condos this year, including LUMEN and Queen Anne Luxurious , both in Queen Anne.
